About the 2003 Sonoma County ReadsThe Sonoma County Public Library Foundation once again spearheaded Sonoma County Reads, a countywide, month-long event designed to encourage reading and library usage. The 2003 Sonoma County Reads featured Jack London's Call of the Wild and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the publication of London's most popular story. The Sonoma County Library purchased hundreds of copies of the selected Sonoma County Reads book, printed in both English and Spanish versions. More about where to read it ... Sonoma County Reads 2003 included not only a community-wide reading of the novel, but also numerous activities, such as the Sonoma State University Jack London lecture series, book discussion groups, television and radio shows, a "Dog-a-thon," exhibits and more.
